Product description
VICK® Polyester Fiber is a road fiber for high-performance asphalt concrete. It is produced from macromolecular polyester through the innovative production process, i.e. spin into 18~20μm single fiber, stretch in ultra way, coat the surface with special chemicals, and then cut off. It possesses various advantages, i.e. high strength, stable chemical property, large elastic modulus, strong adsorptivity to asphalt, good dispersibility, no lumping, high-temperature tolerance, and low-temperature resistance. As shown by the measurement, observation and research/analytical materials, its various technical indices reach and surpass the quality level of foreign products of same kind. After the addition into asphalt mixture for 3D distribution at stirring, it can reinforce the bar, realize a better fatigue/rutting resistance of asphalt concrete, greatly improve the high-temperature stability and low-temperature cracking resistance of pavement, and especially significantly improve the durability of pavement. It is the latest ideal reinforcing fiber for high-performance asphalt concrete.
Advantages
● Improve the high-temperature stability of asphalt pavement: Due to the 3D dispersibility and absorptivity, it can improve the adhesiveness/viscosity of asphalt, restrain the flowability of asphalt, and thus very greatly improve the rutting resistance of asphalt under high-temperature environment.
● Improve the resistance of asphalt pavement to the tension, shearing, compression, impact and low-temperature cracking: With a stable physical property, it can keep a higher ductility/higher tension resistance of asphalt, and improve the cracking resistance of asphalt concrete under low-temperature environment (e.g. in the winter in the northern area of China).
● Improve the fatigue resistance, and prolong the service life of asphalt pavement: Through the bar reinforcement after uniform distribution, it can improve the fatigue resistance and durability of asphalt mixture.
● Improve the resistance to the permeation, shedding, wearing and water-permeation: It can hinder the seepage of hazardous substances (e.g. acid, alkali and water), and prevent the corrosion of bridge-reinforcing bar or steel plate.
